Common questions

Can I motorise the curtains I already have?

Often yes. Some products clip onto an existing rail or rod and push the curtain along. A track motor replaces the track, so it is a bigger job.

Do curtains need power at the window?

Wired motors do. Battery motors do not, though they need recharging. Decide during renovation if you can, because adding power later is harder.

Will schedules still run without the internet?

On a local system, yes. Schedules run on the controller in your home. Only remote access and cloud-only devices pause during an outage.
