Energy monitoring and safety sensors for Singapore homes
Updated
See where the electricity actually goes, which matters in aircon-heavy homes, and add leak, smoke and gas sensors that alert you. What we set up and what to know first.
Most of us only see one number at the end of the month. Monitoring shows where the electricity goes through the day, and for an aircon-heavy home that is where the answer usually is. The same system can also watch for a water leak, smoke or gas, and tell you before the problem grows.
What we set up
- Whole-home or per-circuit monitoring, depending on what you want to learn. Installing meters in the distribution board is electrical work, so it is done by a licensed electrician.
- Aircon runtime and consumption, so you can see which unit runs when, and whether your automations are doing what you intended.
- Solar or an EV charger, where you have them, shown next to the rest of the home.
- Water leak, smoke and gas sensors with alerts to the people who can act.
What the numbers are for
- Finding out what is running when you thought nothing was.
- Checking an automation such as an aircon that is meant to switch off when a window opens.
- Seeing a pattern over days and weeks, not just a bill.
We do not promise a particular saving. Monitoring gives you the information; what you change with it is up to you.
Common questions
Do I need to replace my electrical board?
Not necessarily. What is possible depends on your board and what you want to measure, which we look at during the assessment. Any work inside the board is for a licensed electrician.
Can it monitor each aircon separately?
Per-circuit monitoring can show circuits separately, and a power-measuring device can show whether a particular unit is running. We choose based on what you want to see.
Will alerts work if the internet is down?
Detection and automations run locally. Notifications to your phone need a connection, so we discuss what should also happen in the home itself, such as a local siren.
Next step
Tell us what you want to find out, such as aircon use, solar output or leak protection.
Curious where your electricity goes? Tell us about your home and we will suggest what to measure.
